Job summary

RelaDyne is hiring a CDL Class A Driver Service Technician in Austin, TX. This role offers hourly pay with overtime, sign-on bonus options, and a quarterly safety bonus. You will repair and service fuel equipment, load and deliver tanks, and ensure DOT compliance while staying close to home.

Ideal candidates have a Class A CDL, tank experience, and comfort with field repairs. The position emphasizes safety, customer service, and potential career growth within a stable company.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 23.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Have at least 1 year liquid bulk experience in a tanker or bobtail or 2 years' experience driving a tractor trailer.
• Have prior experience working with industrial pumps, meters, and motors.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel programs.
• Ability to operate a forklift effectively.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, overtime, and travel out of town for possible extended periods of time.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Safe driving record.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Repair/install OPW tank Monitors and Cardlocks.
• Repair fuel dispensing electrical pumps.
• Service other pump related equipment (meters, nozzles, hoses, etc.).
• Respond and handle customer issues.
• Help Welders when required.
• Prep tanks as needed for customer demand.
• Minor fleet repair.
• Follow delivery instructions, and maintain compliance with all DOT, company and customer safety and operational policies and procedures.
• Safely secure and deliver storage tanks, equipment or bulk packaged products to various customer or terminal locations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Cross train on bobtail, transport and lubes.
• Use onboard technology as instructed (Smartlogix, Samsara).
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely, if applicable.
• Comply with company's accident and incident reporting procedures for accidents and spills.
• Other related tasks and projects assigned by the manager.

• Experience securing heavy cargo to a flat-bed trailer
• Ability to operate an Ipad
• Welding experience
• Winch truck experience

Work Environment

This position includes outdoor work in varying weather conditions and extended periods of driving, loading, and unloading products. Candidates should be comfortable working in a physically active environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety. Candidates should also be comfortable climbing steps to verify tank compartments and getting in and out of the tractor, multiple times a day.
