Job summary

Charlestown Place at New Albany is hiring a full-time Driver for our Skilled Nursing community. The role focuses on safely transporting residents to appointments, outings, and on-site activities while ensuring timely arrivals.

You will perform vehicle checks, assist residents on/off the bus, and coordinate with staff to meet transportation needs. Must be 21+, hold a valid driver's license, CNA certification, and pass insurance screening.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass insurance screening.
• Active CNA certification required.
• Relevant transportation experience in senior living or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, community outings, and on-site activities with timely arrivals.
• Assist residents on and off the bus using proper equipment and provide patient-centered support.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, fueling, cleaning, and promptly report maintenance needs or incidents.
• Communicate schedules and resident needs with facility staff; provide transportation updates.
• Follow safety and HIPAA requirements; may assist with staff training and community activities; lift up to 75 pounds.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, community outings, and on-site activities while ensuring timely arrivals

What You'll Need

• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license required, and must be able to pass insurance screening

• Relevant transportation experience, especially in senior living or healthcare, strongly preferred
• CPR certification preferred
