Job summary

Superior Plus Propane in Bridgewater, MA is hiring a Flex Propane Bobtail Driver to ensure safe, timely propane deliveries to residential and commercial customers. You will load, unload, transport, and monitor propane, maintain a clean vehicle, and follow safety practices.

The role requires a CDL, tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred, and at least 1 year of delivery experience. Overtime opportunities and a supportive team environment are offered, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the US required.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to customers from bulk truck, tanks, and/or cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use technology to monitor propane inventory, tank levels and print delivery tickets.
• Complete and submit daily driver reports as needed.
• Conduct pre/post vehicle inspections and report safety issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; communicate any issues.
• Work overtime as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification
• Ability to work overtime and on call

This is a Flex Position.

A Flex position reduces a 12-month continuous work arrangement to something less.

7 months on / 5 months off

During your active season, you’ll play a critical role in delivering propane and supporting customers throughout high ‑ demand winter months. Off ‑ season periods provide extended time away from work between active assignments.

Hands‑on role supporting residential and commercial propane customers.

Schedule selection will be finalized during the hiring process based on business demand and candidate preference.

The hourly rate for this position is $29.00 - $33.00 per hour.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met.

When applicable, this role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend.

This position is also eligible for a quarterly/annual incentive program.
