Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is hiring a Propane Delivery Driver in Lewiston, ME. You will safely deliver propane to customers, load/unload, and provide excellent service while upholding the highest safety standards.

Compensation is hourly, with overtime potential, and eligibility for on-call incentives and quarterly/annual bonus programs. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and sponsor none at this time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Delivery driver experience of 1 year is preferred.
• CDL Class A or B is required.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are preferred.
• Current DOT medical certification is required.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to customers; maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Leverage available technology to monitor transfers, inventory, and print delivery tickets.
• Perform pre- and post-vehicle inspections and report any issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing/scheduling and communicate any issues promptly.
• Overtime may be required; additional duties as assigned.

The Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Propane Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 per hour.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met.

When applicable, this role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend.

This position is also eligible for a quarterly/annual incentive program.
