Job summary

Cargomatic is seeking a Safety & Compliance Manager to lead driver safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management across our Dallas operations. You will own driver safety programs and ensure all drivers and owner-operators operate in accordance with FMCSA, DOT, and state regulations.

You will maintain audit-ready documentation, respond to incidents, and support safety incidents outside business hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety and compliance experience in trucking, drayage, intermodal, or transportation/logistics.
• Strong working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Proven experience managing driver compliance, accident investigations, and safety audits.
• Experience administering drug and alcohol testing programs and FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with drivers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead driver safety and compliance programs for Dallas operations.
• Own driver-focused safety and compliance initiatives.
• Ensure drivers and owner-operators comply with FMCSA, DOT, and state regs.
• Maintain audit-ready compliance documentation and provide safety guidance to operations.
• Respond to safety incidents and compliance matters, including after-hours when needed.
• Develop, implement, and manage driver safety and compliance programs.
• Monitor logs, hours-of-service, inspections, CSA scores, and in-cab events.
• Enforce corrective actions, coaching, and retraining for safety or compliance violations.
• Audit and maintain Driver Qualification Files (DQFs).
• Review driver qualifications and approve onboarding.
• Ensure ongoing FMCSA and DOT compliance.
