Job summary

J.P. Mascaro & Sons in Reading, PA is seeking Sanitation Workers/Driver's Helpers to support the solid waste collection team in a family-like environment. You will ride on the back of a trash truck, assist the driver with backing, and collect curbside waste safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver to safely navigate the truck and back up using hand signals.
• Collect curbside waste and/or recycling and return containers to their original locations.
• Ensure spills or debris are cleaned up and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Refer customer questions to the route supervisor and assist with pre/post-trip inspections.

The position requires you to ride on the back of a trash truck and perform several essential roles, such as assisting the driver to safely navigate the truck and collect curbside waste and/or recycling in a safe and efficient manner.***Please note the following disabilities or medical conditions preclude you from being able to perform safely in this role.
