Job summary

Southern Regional Technical College seeks an Instructor for Driver’s Education to teach classes in accordance with Joshua’s Law and DDS requirements. The role involves classroom and on-road instruction, curriculum coordination, and diligent record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Instructs Drivers Education classes according to Joshua’s Law and DDS requirements
• Coordinate driver’s education program components, materials, and scheduling
• Teach car control, defensive driving, and safe operating practices to students
• Maintain student records (grades, attendance, progress) and report progress
• Manage student behavior to ensure a safe learning environment
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development activities
• Prepare teaching materials and documentation for lesson plans and reporting
• Report incidents to schedule and coordinate driver training
• Support assessments, budgeting, and program planning
• Perform other duties as assigned
