Job summary

At Mazzella, a leading rope and rigging solutions provider in Oklahoma City, we seek a Rigger/Driver to build assemblies and deliver products safely and on time. You will represent the company professionally, driving profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will pick up and deliver to diverse addresses, assemble chain/wire rope, perform rigging tests, load/unload with a propane forklift, and keep a clean, well-maintained workspace. A strong team player is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Experience operating propane-powered forklift preferred.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Strong analytical and planning abilities.
• Team player in a shop environment.

• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Able to pass background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify.

Responsibilities

• Pick up/Deliver a wide variety of products to different addresses and routes.
• Build chain/wire rope assemblies safely and timely.
• Perform proofs/tests on rigging.
• Pack and load trucks/freight lines per specifications.
• Unload goods as per customer specifications.
• Operate forklift to load/unload trailers and heavy loads.
• Notify Supervisor of truck/forklift issues and ensure correction.
• Inform Supervisor of all customer information during delivery.
• Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor when not delivering.
• Maintain a clean truck and work area.
• Arrive on time to work, meetings, and appointments.
• Meet agreed goals and objectives effectively and on time.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Rigger/Driver is responsible for helping meet the needs of the customers by building assemblies & delivering/picking up products in a timely, safe and courteous manner. The Rigger/Driver will represent the company in a professional and cost-effective manner aimed at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.

• Pick up/Deliver a wide variety of products to different addresses and through different routes
• Build chain/wire rope assemblies in a safe & timely manner
• Perform proof tests/inspections on rigging
• Pack and load trucks/freight lines according to company specifications

• Utilize forklift to load/unload trailers and heavy loads.
• Notify Supervisor when there is a problem with the trucks/forklifts and make sure it is corrected

Requirements

Excellent time management skills

• Must be able to lift and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds frequently
• Valid current driver’s license and overall clean driving record.
• Previous experience operating propane powered forklift strongly preferred
• Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Strong analytical, conceptual and planning skills are required
• Must be able to work well with a team in a shop environment
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
