Job summary

Allegiance Crane & Equipment in Houston, TX is seeking full-time drivers/riggers to join our team. You will transport cranes, secure loads for hauling, and apply rigging techniques to lift loads safely under supervision.

Requirements include NCCCO/NCCER certification, a Class A CDL and a valid driver’s license, plus 2 years driving experience and 1 year rigging cranes or similar equipment. OT, weekends, and holidays possible.

Qualifications

• NCCCO or NCCER certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Class A CDL required to drive commercial vehicles.
• Minimum 2 years experience driving commercial vehicles.
• Minimum 1 year prior experience rigging cranes or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive tractor-trailer to transport cranes and equipment to job sites.
• Properly secure equipment to the trailer for preparation for hauling.
• Utilize proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of the load, including hand signals for the safe operation of the crane.
• Connects pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps
• Dismantles, maintains and stores rigging equipment
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting and lifting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, stoop, climb, and move about shop and equipment. Heavy physical effort required. Must be able to lift up to 75 lb. Will regularly be exposed to noise, heat, dust, and fumes around job sites and yard. Extreme weather conditions possible, at times. Must be able to drive a vehicle for local travel.
