Job summary

Continental Express is seeking a Driver Recruiter at the Fort Worth Terminal to drive driver acquisition and staffing success for our refrigerated freight operations. You will source, screen, and onboard candidates, coordinating with operations to align staffing with demand.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop channels of new driver candidates.
• Advertise for and pursue driver candidates.
• Maintain records of qualified candidates and develop leads.
• Collaborate with Social Media Coordinator to create advertising campaigns with various media formats.
• Manage the hiring process for new candidates.
• Manage inbound phone calls from interested candidates.
• Schedule applicants for necessary interviews, physicals and drug screens, hotel stays, etc.
• Keep in close contact with operations to constantly know driver staffing needs.
• Prioritize hiring needs and focus attention accordingly.
• Facilitate pre-employment paperwork requirements.
• Perform pre-employment background checks which includes, MVR and DAC reports.
• Actively assist in the onboarding process of newly hired drivers.
• Possibly assist in managing a fleet of drivers.

Continental Express Inc. is an industry-leading transportation company specializing in transporting refrigerated freight. We are growing and seeking to add a Driver Recruiter at our Fort Worth Terminal. This is a very critical role as it is directly tied to the growth and success of the company.

Job Duties:

• Proactively develop channels of new driver candidates
• Aggressively advertise for and pursue driver candidates
• Maintain records of qualified candidates and develop leads
• Collaborate with Social Media Coordinator to create advertising campaigns with various media formats
• Manage the hiring process for new candidates
• Manage inbound phone calls from interested candidates
• Schedule applicants for necessary interviews, physicals and drug screens, hotel stays, etc.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Prefer candidate with a bachelors degree in communication or business related field

• High degree of organization and time management skills
• Working knowledge of human resources practices and principles
• Familiarity with advertising in various media channels (print, social media, digital)
• General knowledge of labor laws
