Job summary

Gulf Relay, LLC is seeking a Driver Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting for qualified CDL-A drivers in Clinton, MS. In this in-office role, you will attract and engage candidates, coordinate screening and onboarding steps, and partner across teams to help reduce drop-off while maintaining accurate recruiting records.

You will develop a pipeline, manage inbound leads, conduct initial screens, verify CDL classifications, and ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a driver recruiter in the transportation industry.

• Strong verbal and written communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Source and prospect CDL-A drivers using job boards, social media, referrals, and driver databases.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and upcoming openings.
• Coordinate screening, onboarding steps, and background checks.
• Complete initial phone screens to evaluate driving record, experience, and fit.
• Verify CDL class, endorsements, and years of experience.
• Pre-screen candidates for DOT/FMCSA compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS/recruiting system.
• Collaborate with operations to understand lane needs and hiring priorities.
• Guide candidates through the application and hiring workflow to start date.

Gulf Relay, LLC is seeking a Driver Recruiter to support the company's staffing and compliance goals by leading full-cycle recruiting for qualified professional CDL-A drivers. In this in-office role based in Clinton, MS (39056), you will attract and engage candidates, coordinate screening and onboarding steps, and partner across teams to help reduce drop-off while maintaining accurate recruiting records.

What You'll Do

• Source and prospect CDL-A drivers using job boards, social media, referrals, and driver databases
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and upcoming openings
• Manage and respond to inbound leads coming from recruiting ads and campaigns
• Complete initial phone screens to evaluate driving record, relevant experience, and overall fit
• Confirm CDL class, endorsements, and years of experience for each candidate
• Pre-screen candidates for DOT/FMCSA compliance requirements, including MVR, PSP, and Background status
• Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and employment verifications
• Guide candidates through the application and hiring workflow from first contact to start date
• Coordinate with safety and compliance teams to ensure driver qualification files are complete
• Maintain consistent candidate communication to reduce drop-off and no-show rates
• Keep accurate candidate records in the ATS/recruiting system
• Collaborate with operations and dispatch to understand lane needs, freight types, and hiring priorities
• Partner with safety and HR teams on qualification standards and onboarding logistics

• Experience using Tenstreet to review and process driver applications
• Strong interpersonal skills, with clear verbal and written communication
