Job summary

DanceOne in Xenia, OH is hiring a Driver - Production & AV Installer (CDL/Non-CDL) to join touring teams January through August. You will operate trucks, assist in on-site setup, and support AV systems for live events across the country.

We offer weekly base pay, per diem, lodging and travel coverage, comprehensive benefits, and hands-on training. The role requires physical work, a valid license, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must live within a 60-mile radius of Dayton, OH.
• Valid Driver’s License (CDL or Non-CDL) and DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Willingness to train even without prior production experience.
• Weekend availability (Friday–Sunday events).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL or Non-CDL trucks transporting equipment to events.
• Perform and document pre- and post-trip inspections; report issues.
• Plan efficient routes for timely travel.
• Unload, stage, and assemble production equipment (AV, lighting, etc.).
• Troubleshoot basic AV or lighting setups.
• Communicate with warehouse and production staff; coordinate teardown and reloads.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Transportation & Compliance

• Safely operate CDL or Non-CDL trucks and vans transporting equipment to and from events


• Perform and document pre- and post-trip inspections; report maintenance issues promptly


• Plan routes efficiently for timely and compliant travel


• Maintain a valid driver’s license and always DOT medical certificate


• Comply with all FMCSA/DOT and company safety regulations


• Keep truck interior and exterior clean, organized, and show-ready

On-Site Setup & Installation

• Safely operate company box trucks or semis transporting event equipment nationwide


• Unload, stage, and assemble production equipment including:

  • Lighting, projection screens, and TV monitors
  
  
  • Branded backdrops, signage, fixtures, and merchandise displays
  
  
  
  


• Troubleshoot and support basic AV or lighting setups


• Communicate clearly with warehouse and production staff


• Work independently and efficiently in fast-paced show environments


• Participate in event teardown ('strike') and reload all equipment safely

Work Environment

• Regular travel and overnight stays required during January-August tour season.


• Physically active role requiring standing, bending, and lifting.


• Exposure to warehouse, stage, and loading-dock environments.


• Fast-paced work cycles aligned with live-event schedules.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• MUST be 21 years of age or older

• Experience driving large vehicles preferred — willing to train


• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. or more and perform physical labor
