About Us:

St. Francis Nursing Home is an 80-bed skilled nursing facility attached to CHI St. Francis Health acute hospital and Primary Care and Walk-in Clinic providing quality nursing care to residents in and around Breckenridge, MN. Responsibilities

Coordinates and executes transportation needs regarding resident usage of facility vehicles.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Responsible for driving of facility vehicle(s) for resident use (medical appointments, facility programs and other community outings). Maintain all necessary records.
  2. Follow all established state laws and facility policies and procedures, especially with regard to transportation, safety (vehicle, resident, and wheelchair), emergencies, and inclement weather.
  3. Maintain communication with the facility when transporting residents.
  4. Establish and maintain verbal and written communication systems with nursing personnel, regarding appointment schedule, preparation of resident, and other assistance with transportation, as necessary.
  5. Responsible for daily and ongoing upkeep of facility vehicle(s) and contents. Notifies Administration and/or Facilities if repairs are needed. Maintain contents in good repair.
  6. Utilize appropriate wheelchair safety in loading, unloading, and transporting residents.
  7. Complete all mandatory education and training as assigned.
  8. Complete other duties as assigned.
