Job summary

Schneider in Laredo, TX is seeking a Driver Manager to ensure successful execution of customer freight delivery by effectively managing drivers. The role acts as the liaison between the business, drivers, and customers.

You will balance customer, driver, and business needs, while providing proactive performance coaching and managing driver payroll and home time. Collaboration with multiple teams will focus on retention and driving the business forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with a variety of teams, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Make safety-conscious decisions that ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Balance the needs of our customers, drivers and the business.
• Provide continuous, structured and proactive performance management and coaching to drivers.
• Manage driver payroll and home time.
