Cortland County Office for Aging is seeking a Driver (Per Diem) to transport clients to appointments and activities, and to deliver meals or materials as needed. The role includes maintaining a daily transportation log and working under general supervision with some independent judgment.
Work hours are per diem, up to 17 hours per week, with no employee benefits. Applicants must hold a NYS driver's license appropriate to the vehicles operated and pass pre-employment screenings.
The work involves responsibility for transporting clients to and from appointments and activities such as medical, school, work, shopping, recreation and other activities. In addition, the incumbent delivers meals or materials and maintains a daily log of transportation activities. The work is performed under the general supervision with leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgement in carrying out the details of the work. Does related work as required

Possession of a valid New York State driver's license appropriate to the vehicles operated. Failure to maintain a NYS driver's license including driving privileges throughout employment will result in disciplinary action or dismissal.
