Job summary

Cortland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Cortland, NY is seeking a compassionate Resident Transportation Driver to transport residents to appointments, medical facilities, and activities, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their journey.

The role requires a NYS driver's license, ability to lift 25 pounds, excellent communication and customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A DOT physical is required annually.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid, unencumbered NYS driver's license.
• Pass an annual DOT Physical.
• Ability to push, pull/lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from appointments, medical facilities, and activities in our facility vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff members.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.
• Collaborate with the activities department to plan and execute outings and activities.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in training and orientation programs to ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
