Job summary

OTC Services seeks a part-time driver to transport individuals with disabilities to and from residences and workplaces on a daily basis. Shifts run 5:00am-8:30am and 3:30pm-7:30pm, with required safety procedures and regular reporting.

You will operate vehicles in accordance with state laws, ensure passenger and equipment safety, and cooperate with state agencies during inspections. DOT medical certs and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age required twenty-five (25).
  • No DWI or DUI convictions. No MVR points on the driving record within 3 years of hire date.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record as set by the OTC's Insurance Carrier.
  • DOT Medical Certificate required upon onboarding process

Responsibilities

  • Transport individuals with disabilities to and from their residence and to and from work on a daily basis.
  • When driving individuals, staff member will ensure individuals and equipment are properly secured in the vehicle.
  • Ensure immediate access to emergency services in the case of life threatening emergencies in full compliance with Danielle's Law.
  • Inspect, maintain and operate assigned vehicles in accordance with State laws and regulations, and OTC/program policies and procedures.
  • Complete and submit all required reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Description

  • Willingly and effectively cooperates with OTC, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written instructions; read and use maps properly and enter information correctly on OTC driver paperwork forms.

  • Employee will be required to complete all clearances as necessary per regulatory requirements.
