Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in Owatonna, MN, is seeking a Driver Manager to ensure successful execution of customer freight delivery through effective driver management. This full-time role operates Tuesday-Saturday, 6 a.m.–3 p.m. and acts as a link between the business, our drivers and customers.

Responsibilities include safety, performance coaching, payroll/home time management, and cross-team collaboration to improve retention and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with a variety of teams, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Make safety-conscious decisions that ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Balance the needs of our customers, drivers and the business.
• Provide continuous, structured and proactive performance management and coaching to drivers.
• Manage driver payroll and home time.
• Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement creative solutions to improve retention and drive business.

Education
