Position

Schedule Availability: Schedule must be flexible.

Shifts: Monday - 6:00AM - 2:00PM and/or Fridays - 8:00AM - 4:00PM

Saturdays (some mornings & evenings): 8:00AM - 4:00PM or 4:00PM - 12:00PM

Sundays (some mornings & evenings): 8:00AM - 4:00PM or 4:00PM - 12:00PM

Wage Rate: $19.48 to $21.53 per hour commensurate with experience

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for transporting passengers to designated locations as well as loading and unloading passengers and packages from the Van/Bus.

Additional duties may include administrative and clerical duties.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED, three to five years driving experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess verbal and written communication ability and strong customer service skills. Must be proficient in the operation of a van/bus and various vehicular components. Must hold a valid State Driver’s License with no moving violations within the past three years and be certified in CPR/First Aid.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport residents to specified locations, operate the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner and assist residents with loading and unloading.
• Transport residents and other employees to specified locations safely and efficiently, while complying with all traffic regulations.
• Report all incidents and accidents to supervisor and any other specified parties, completing written documentation of incident/accident following established procedure.
• Regulate all temperatures and lights within vehicle to ensure passenger comfort.
• Assist passengers on and off the vehicle; aid with packages and operate wheelchair lift as necessary.
• Drive to specified locations, using main interstates and highways at all times. Maintain accurate trip log of all fuel and mileage used per trip.
