Job summary

Ohio Peterbilt, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., is seeking an on-call Driver to transport trucks and other vehicles to support our service and new-truck sales teams around Broadview Heights, OH.

The role requires three+ years of truck-trailer driving, a valid CDL Class A, and a clean driving record. You must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service during on-site visits and pickups.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have three or more years of prior truck-trailer combination driving experience.
• A CDL Class A license is required along with a current Medical Certification Card and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• On an on-call basis, transport/shuttle on-highway trucks, fire trucks, ambulances, and other vehicles as needed.
• Support the service and new-truck sales departments by providing transportation and logistics as required.
• Operate from various customer and Ohio Machinery locations in or around Broadview Heights, OH.
• Maintain safe driving practices and accurate documentation as required by company policies.

JOB SUMMARY:

On an on-call basis, the Driver on Call will transport/shuttle on-highway trucks, fire trucks, ambulances, and other vehicles as needed from various customer and Ohio Machinery locations in support of our service and new-truck sales departments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have three or more years of prior truck-trailer combination driving experience.
• A CDL Class A license is required along with a current Medical Certification Card and a clean driving record.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Must possess a positive attitude and exceptional customer service qualities.
• Must have the ability to interact with multiple levels of customers and managers.
• The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently with minimum supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to stand for up to two hours. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Ability to see for purposes of reading printed material and driving. Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels. Ability to speak so that others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation both in person and over the phone. Flexibility to work extended hours as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
