Job summary

DeCook Excavating, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking Class A/B drivers to join our team. The role focuses on transporting material to and from job sites, coordinating with operators and office staff, and ensuring deliveries are accurate and timely.

Candidates must have a valid CDL, be 18+, pass background and drug screening, and meet physical demands. We offer medical, dental/vision, PTO, 401k with match, home every night, and a sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to meet physical demands.
• Background check, motor vehicle report and drug screen required.
• Class A CDL preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Transport material to and from various job sites in a timely manner.
• Communicate with equipment operators, customers and office staff to ensure correct product/delivery location.
• Verify products requested and loaded for accuracy.
• Verify weights to ensure equipment does not exceed weight restrictions or local laws.
• Complete pre and post-trip inspections of equipment and related checks.
• Maintain and grease equipment and perform weekly servicing.
• Maintain truck logs, both paper and electronic.
• Report equipment repairs in a timely manner.
• Comply with safety policies and regulations.
• Obtain CDL and Health Card.

We are looking to add more Class A or B drivers to our team!

Responsibilities

• Transport material to and from various job site locations in a timely manner
• Communicate with equipment operators, customers and office staff to ensure correct product/delivery location
• Verify products requested and loaded for accuracy
• Verify weights to ensure equipment does not exceed weight restrictions or local laws
• Complete pre and post trip inspection of equipment, oil check, lights, wheels, etc.
• Clean/grease equipment on a weekly basis
• Maintain and complete truck logs, both paper and electronic
• Report equipment repairs in a timely manner
• Comply with safety policies and regulations
• Obtain CDL and Health Card

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be 18+
• Able to meet physical demands of the job
• Successful completion of background check, motor vehicle report and drug screen
• Class A CDL preferred

Physical Demands

• Greasing equipment – Bending, Crouching, Stoop, Kneel, Crawl
• Scrape out material from dump bed or hoppers
• Long periods of sitting (Driving) time
• Fatigue from driving (mentally etc.)
