Drive for BFS - Industry Leader in Building Materials

Purpose

Responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering materials to customer sites. Ensures compliance with safety regulations, delivers undamaged goods on schedule, and provides professional customer service. Non-CDL drivers will operate vehicles weighing 10,001-26,000 pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Load and secure products, materials, or supplies in the delivery vehicle.
2. Deliver customer orders to specified sites, unload safely, and protect products and property.
3. Verify order details, maintain delivery logs, and check items against invoices for accuracy.
4. Act as a customer service liaison, handle concerns, and resolve issues.
5. Maintain cleanliness and safety of delivery vehicles, perform safety checks.
6. Use handheld devices (except while driving) for DVIR and HOS compliance.
7. Maintain hours of service logs and perform pre/post trip inspections.
8. Perform credit or product return pickups and related paperwork as needed.
9. Operate forklifts or non-motorized equipment for loading/unloading.
10. Follow all safety procedures to prevent injuries, attend safety meetings, and suggest improvements.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver's license, and prior delivery experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check.
• DOT medical card.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Work Environment & Physical Activity

• Work is performed in a production environment with temperature variations, chemicals, noise, and dust.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• May involve climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling.
• Must physically operate delivery vehicles.
