Job description

Job Title: Non-CDL Driver

Responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering materials to customer sites. This position operates vehicles weighing 26,000 lbs. or less GVWR.

Responsibilities:

1. Load and secure products, materials, and supplies inside the delivery vehicle.
2. Deliver customer orders to designated sites and unload materials safely and accurately, ensuring protection of products and property.
3. Use a hand-held device (except while driving) for compliance with DVIR and HOS regulations.
4. Verify order details, maintain logs of deliveries including amounts, weights, mileage, and locations, and check items against invoices for accuracy.
5. Act as a customer service liaison, handle concerns, and resolve issues as they arise.
6. Maintain service logs and perform pre/post trip inspections.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 21+ years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous delivery experience preferred, especially with building materials and delivery equipment.
• Ability to pass MVR and obtain a DOT medical card.
• Forklift certification.

Skills and Physical Requirements:

• Knowledge of safety procedures for driving and material handling.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read maps, routes, and road signs.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to operate crane equipment and perform physical tasks involved in loading and unloading.
