Job summary

Twin City Die Castings is seeking a professional Driver to transport or pick up merchandise within a designated area. The role emphasizes safety, timely deliveries, and accurate documentation.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with hourly pay ranging from $22.50 to $29.00 depending on experience. High school diploma required; training for vehicle operation provided as needed. DOQ. Eligible for overtime as per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
• Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
• Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with regulations.
• Read maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
• Responsible for knowing and following all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures for work area and takes responsibility to assure that personal work activity is conducted in such a way so as to not affect the safety of themselves or others.
• All other duties as assigned.
