Total Wine & More is hiring for a Merchandiser role within our retail team. You will ensure strong product displays, manage inventory, fulfill online orders, and assist with curbside pickup or delivery while delivering exceptional customer service in-store.

You’ll participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to grow product knowledge and help customers choose the right options. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in retail (preferred); 1+ year in a retail setting.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maximize product inventory: process freight, organize and distribute inventory, pull and stock merchandise, build displays and end caps, and place signage.
• Support digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store, curbside pick-up, and delivery services (including driving and making deliveries if assigned).
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing them about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol, keeping a safe and compliant environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
• Load and deliver orders safely and professionally, following company policies, procedures, and applicable traffic and safety laws (if delivery is added as an essential job function).

About the Role

All Store Team Members play an essential role in building our company brand by delivering excellent customer service. You will maximize product inventory and support online business operations, ensuring a positive shopping experience. While both part‑time and full‑time positions generally focus on merchandising responsibilities, you may also be assigned sales, front‑end, or other responsibilities as needed. Internally, you will be referred to as Merchandiser and report to the store management team.

Physical Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
• Safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
• Climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
• May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions during the workday.

Work Details

Regular work schedule. Seasonal roles may be short‑term, up to six months, with an option to apply for a non‑seasonal role.

Pay

Pay Range: $22.05 - $30.87 per hour.
