Job summary
The Blood Center is actively interviewing for full-time Driver/Medical Screener in Hammond and New Orleans. Candidates must have a valid CDL and experience driving 35-foot or larger buses, with a clean driving record. You will drive to blood drive sites, assist with loading and unloading, and learn medical screening procedures.
Position offers comprehensive benefits from date of hire and a chance to contribute to donor services. EOE/AAE. Immediate start preferred.
Qualifications
- Licenses - Valid CDL driver's license
- Education - High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience - Previous experience driving large vehicles
- Specific Skills - Excellent customer relations and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Working knowledge of word processing
- Good aptitude for expediting donor flow
- Knowledge and understanding of donor screening requirements
Responsibilities
- Drive buses to and from mobile drive sites.
- Set up and tear down drive sites.
- Assist in donor flow and ensure smooth operations at drive locations.
- Determine donor acceptability and safety for donation.
