Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is looking for an individual to transport supplies at their facilities in West Boylston, Massachusetts. This role involves operating light trucks and other vehicles, loading and unloading supplies, and maintaining delivery records.

The candidate must be a high school graduate with a valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license and be 18 years of age or older. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to lift and move heavy loads as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate light trucks, vans and other vehicles to transport supplies.
• Load and unload supplies and secure them in the truck.
• Complete all delivery records accurately.
• Participate in periodic physical inventory of supply locations.

Schedule Details

Monday through Friday; Weekends – No Weekends Required

Shift

4 – Mixed Shift, 8 Hours (United States of America)

Major Responsibilities

• Operate light trucks, vans and other vehicles to transport supplies. May drive a large 26 ft, 26,001 lb capacity box truck.
• Operate pallet mover.
• Load and unload supplies, secure them in truck; transport safely.
• Deliver supplies to main campus loading docks and to offsite departmental customers as needed.
• Complete accurately all delivery records required.
• Participate in all Material Handler/Storekeeper job activities including receiving, stocking, picking and delivering supplies.
• Participate in periodic physical inventory of supply locations.

Position Qualifications

License / Certification / Education

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess an appropriate Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license.

Experience / Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Ability to read, write and understand basic instructions, verbal and written.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull wheeled carts up to 300 lbs.
