ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitor, track, and dispatch all direct report drivers.
- Maintain accurate data in the driver communication device, including:
- Accurate mileage
- Alignment of all start and stop locations
- Maintain X-calls from drivers with all accuracy
- Manage Drivers' ETA’s, PTA’s, and RTA’s
- Handle payroll inquiries and work to resolve issues for drivers
- Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with drivers, including:
- Keeping track of driver routes
- Contacting customer service when detentions occur and working to keep drivers moving
- Monitoring hours to avoid out-of-hours violations
- Monitoring driver utilization and length of day
- Complete all quarterly reviews with drivers and all quarterly DOT requirements timely.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and courteous customer service with internal and external customers.
- Track drivers throughout the day and promptly notify customer service of any issues impacting service, noting service issues accurately within TMW.
- Resolve issues as they occur, collaborating with team members, and providing solutions when communicating with customers.
- Coordinate load assignments for drivers with planners.
- Ensure all preventative maintenance is completed on time for all CTS equipment, facilitating truck swaps when necessary.
- Work scheduled hours, arrive on time, and leave when work is complete.
- Track down missing paperwork.
- Provide disciplinary actions to drivers when needed, discussing impacts on their PFP.
- Participate in efforts to maintain driver retention and reduce turnover.
- Handle and manage all driver payroll activities, including:
- Auditing, reviewing, and approving timecards
- Maintaining payroll documents and spreadsheets
- Approving and declining vacation requests
- Distributing statements
- Resolving payroll discrepancies
- Responding to employee inquiries
- Calculating bonuses
- Reviewing wages and payroll compliance
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate personnel.
