Job summary

Dynamic Transit Company is hiring a Driver Manager to join our Operations team in a full-time, in-person role in Granite City, IL. The manager will coordinate with Load Planners, Customer Service, Safety, Maintenance and Recruiting to optimize driver loads and solve daily operations challenges.

Responsibilities include communicating across teams, maintaining safety standards, and supporting driver retention through clear expectations and responsive problem solving.

Qualifications

• 1+ years previous experience in operations, dispatching, managing a team, and/or working on a team is required.
• Drive, be resourceful, competitive, and analytical
• Ability to make smart decisions and problem solve quickly
• Attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Leverage deep knowledge of operations to ensure the appropriateness of driver load assignments from Load Planners and Customer Service
• Effectively communicate with the Operations team and drivers to ensure customer and company goals are being met.
• Notify Customer Service Representatives and Load Planners of issues and/or changes that might impact customer expectations on a load
• Promote and communicate safety throughout all areas of operations, including the dispatching of loads in accordance with the drivers hours of availability
• Focus on relationship-building with team members and on driver retention by understanding driver preferences, monitoring driver performance, and by keeping drivers informed and motivated
• Communicate expectations to drivers and also meet driver and company expectations
• Resolve driver conflicts, problems and requests with respect to matters such as home time, pay, equipment, and load assignments

This is a full-time position with daytime hours M-F as well as every other Saturday.

Pay and Benefits

• Base Pay Range: $55, 000 - $60,000
