Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a Driver Manager to lead transportation and driver operations, ensuring DOT compliance, safety, and cost-effective delivery of goods across stores and distribution centers.

You will manage company-owned and leased equipment, evaluate fleet needs, coordinate maintenance, and oversee yard and terminal operations while partnering with internal and external teams to drive on-time results and continuous improvement.

The Driver Manager is responsible for leading transportation and driver operations while ensuring full compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards. This role oversees company-owned and leased equipment, driver performance, yard and terminal operations, and coordination with internal and external partners to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of goods. The Driver Manager plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and a high-performing driver workforce.

  • Experience using ELD systems, video safety software, and other fleet management tools

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • (10+ years of CDL or transportation experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• Previous supervisory or management experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations
• Demonstrated knowledge of DOT HOS rules and transportation regulations
• Working knowledge of geographic service areas and route planning
• Understanding of labor laws and company policy compliance

Physical Demands

• Ability to work in a transportation and yard environment
• May require walking yards, inspecting equipment, and interacting with drivers and vendors
