Job summary

Hendersonville Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a Driver & Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, upkeep, and safety checks at the facility while ensuring timely transport of residents.

You will support housekeeping through floor care, assist with onboarding and training, and may work occasional weekends to support new admissions; the role emphasizes safety, quality of care, and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Current valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.
• Experience in customer service, transportation and healthcare are preferred; on-site training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks (patching, painting, repairs) and ensure upkeep of the facility.
• Safely transport residents and assist residents in/out of vehicles and mobility aids.
• Support housekeeping with floor care (stripping, waxing, buffing, deep cleaning).
• Complete required reports and participate in onboarding and safety trainings; occasional weekend shifts may be needed.

Hendersonville Health & Rehabilitation is currently seeking Driver & Maintenance Technician. The Driver & Maintenance Technician will assume responsibility for and accountability of carrying out the maintenance tasks for the facility.

Responsibilities include supporting the community with day-to-day maintenance functions, upkeep, cleanliness, complete necessary reports and safely transporting residents in a timely manner. Assist the housekeeping team with floor care duties such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and deep cleaning. Occasional weekend hours may be required to support new admissions. These instances are intermittent and typically brief.

Tasks may include patching, painting, minor facility repairs, floor cleaning; assisting residents in and out of vans, vehicles, wheelchairs and/or movable beds; ensure all residents experience a safe and comfortable transportation process; participate in onboarding and ongoing training to stay current with safety and compliance practices.

Job Requirements:

Current valid driver’s license with no serious infractions.

Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.

Experience in customer service, transportation and healthcare are preferred. Training will be offered on-site regardless of level of experience.
