Job summary

Core X Performance in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a dependable Local Driver. You will safely transport freight between designated locations, maintain logs, complete delivery documentation, and communicate delays to dispatch and customers.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, 2+ years tractor/trailer experience, DOT regulations knowledge, and the ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections, route planning, and light lifting. This full-time role reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport freight between designated locations.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Plan routes to deliver safely and on time.
• Secure freight properly for transport.
• Obtain customer signatures and complete delivery documentation.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs (driving hours, rest periods, mileage, fuel, repairs, tolls).
• Complete required DOT and customer paperwork.
• Maintain company vehicle (cleaning, fluids, tires, minor repairs).
• Assist with loading and unloading freight.
• Report accidents, violations, breakdowns, or damage to management.
• Notify dispatch and customers of delays affecting delivery times.
• Follow DOT regulations and road safety requirements.
• Participate in company training programs.

Core X Performanceis seeking a dependable and safety-focusedLocal Driverto join our team. The Local Driver is responsible for safely transporting freight between designated locations while providing reliable service to our customers.

This position is ideal for an experienced Class A CDL driver who takes pride in safe driving, maintaining equipment, accurate documentation, and professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport freight between designated locations.
• Perform requiredpre-trip and post-trip inspectionsto ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
• Plan routes to ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.
• Properly secure freight before and during transportation.
• Obtain customer signatures and complete required delivery documentation.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs, including driving hours, rest periods, mileage, fuel, repairs, and tolls.
• Complete required DOT and customer-specific paperwork.
• Maintain the company vehicle, including cleaning, checking fluids, monitoring tire pressure, and performing minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight.
• Immediately report accidents, traffic violations, vehicle breakdowns, or freight damage to management.
• Notify dispatch and customers of delays that could affect scheduled delivery times.
• Follow all applicableDOT regulations and road safety requirements.
• Participate in required company training programs.
