Job summary

MorningStar of Littleton is seeking a Part-time Driver to transport residents to scheduled destinations and support activities. The role focuses on safe operation of community transportation vehicles and timely, compassionate service.

The position requires 3–6 months driving experience, a valid license, and strong English communication. Expect a friendly team and a mission-driven culture in the Denver metro area.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months experience in a driving position, preferably with senior adults.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents to and from scheduled destinations such as appointments and errands.
• Ensure safe operation of transportation vehicles.
• Monitor residents' well-being and report changes to supervisor.
• Maintain mileage and vehicle records and assist with maintenance costs.
• Comply with Driver and Motor Vehicle guidelines.

Will be responsible for scheduling all transportation requests from residents and working with Activities/Outings.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for driving the residents to and from scheduled destinations. Responsible for the safe and effective operation of all Community transportation vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive residents to and from specified destinations such as doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping and other errands.
• Monitors residents' overall well-being and reports any changes of resident status to supervisor.
• May be responsible for driver safety training of other operators.
• Responsible for record keeping of community vehicles preventative maintenance needs and costs associated with those needs.
• Responsible for verifying coordination of mileage record with gas expenses.
• Responsible for quarterly report to management.
• Responsible for reporting billable hours for residents.
• Complies with all Driver and Motor Vehicle guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 3-6 months experience in a driving position preferably with senior adults, knowledge of streets in Denver Metro area and the ability to navigate to and from destinations, must possess a valid State driver’s license and appropriate driving record, must be able to read, write, and speak English, must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Job Knowledge: Ability to drive and maintain various types of vehicles.
