Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a part-time Driver. Schedule: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 9am to 3pm. The role handles scheduling transportation requests for residents and ensures safe operation of community vehicles.

You will drive residents to appointments, outings, and errands, monitor well-being, maintain vehicle records, and assist with mileage and billable hours. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–6 months driving experience, preferably with seniors.
• Valid State driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents to scheduled destinations including appointments and errands.
• Ensure safe operation of community transportation vehicles.
• Monitor residents' well-being and report changes to supervisor.
• Maintain vehicle preventative maintenance records and track mileage and expenses.
• Prepare quarterly reports and document billable hours.
• Complies with Driver and Motor Vehicle guidelines.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for driving the residents to and from scheduled destinations. Responsible for the safe and effective operation of all Community transportation vehicles.

• Drive residents to and from specified destinations such as doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping and other errands.
• Monitors residents' overall well-being and reports any changes of resident status to supervisor.
• May be responsible for driver safety training of other operators.
• Responsible for record keeping of community vehicles preventative maintenance needs and costs associated with those needs.
• Responsible for verifying coordination of mileage record with gas expenses.
• Responsible for quarterly report to management.
• Responsible for reporting billable hours for residents.
• Complies with all Driver and Motor Vehicle guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 3-6 months experience in a driving position preferably with senior adults, knowledge of streets in Denver Metro area and the ability to navigate to and from destinations, must possess a valid State driver’s license and appropriate driving record, must be able to read, write, and speak English, must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Job Knowledge : Ability to drive and maintain various types of vehicles.
