Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Kentucky State Police seeks a Driver Test Administrator in Louisville. You will administer vision, written and skills exams for driver licenses and provide information on testing procedures, working to ensure only qualified applicants are certified.

This full-time executive branch position requires at least a high school diploma, 21+ years old, and valid driver's license. The role may involve travel and outdoor work, with overtime eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administer vision, written and skills test for applicants attempting to obtain their Class D or M Kentucky driver's license.
• Administer CDL general knowledge and endorsement written examinations.
• Answer questions and provide information to the public on licensing testing procedures.
• Review documents to ensure eligibility of applicants.
• Communicate with the Transportation Cabinet to correct discrepancies on examination and paperwork.
• Work indoors and outdoors with prolonged sitting or riding in vehicles with applicants.
• Travel to other counties in assigned region to cover vacancies.
