Job summary

The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) at the State of Colorado is seeking a Driver License Technician Trainee to learn the issuance of Colorado driver licenses, permits, and ID cards while upholding statutes and department policies.

In this trainee role, you will develop skills in customer service, document verification, and first-line decision-making regarding source documents and identity proof, with opportunities for advancement once trained.

What we do:

The Driver License section provides Colorado credentials to the citizens throughout the state which include driver licenses, instruction permits, commercial driver licenses, and identification cards.

A typical day in the life of a Driver License Technician Trainee:

In this trainee role, you will learn to ensure compliance with Colorado Revised Statutes and Federal laws, Department policies, rules and procedures in the issuance of Colorado documents to qualified applicants.
