Qualifications

• Formal arithmetic education including fractions, decimals and percentages; reading, writing and speaking English.
• AND 1 course or 3 months of experience in human/public relations; valid Ohio Class 'D' Driver License.
• AND must be 21 years of age per Section 4507.05 (A) (2) (B).
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

• Conducts examination of applicants for vehicle operator's license by accompanying applicant in vehicle during road testing over a prescribed course.
• Instructs applicant in maneuvers to be performed during testing.
• Administers driving tests for Class D, motorcycle, moped, restricted licenses and other exams as required by the BMV.
• Evaluates and grades applicant's driving ability.
• Utilizes BMV computer systems to enter applicant information and administer knowledge tests for various license classes and endorsements.
