DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports safe and efficient driver licensing services by assisting customers at the Driver License Center. It plays an important role in verifying identity documents and providing accurate information to the public. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

• Customer Assistance: Greet customers and guide them through identification checks and application steps
• Test Administration: Provide vision screenings and deliver standardized knowledge tests to applicants
• Data Entry: Enter test results and application information into on-line licensing systems
• Public Guidance: Respond to questions about licensing requirements and provide clear information on available services
• Service Processing: Process transactions such as renewals, duplicates, transfers, and specialized license requests
• Policy Compliance: Follow REAL ID regulations, fee waiver rules, customer service policies, and Title VI requirements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Work overtime and travel to other Driver License Centers when needed
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
