DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides customer service, testing support, record processing, and guidance for individuals seeking driver licensing services. It involves verifying information, administering knowledge tests, entering data, explaining requirements, and ensuring accurate and efficient service. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

• Customer Interaction: Greet customers, verify identification, assist with forms, and provide needed information
• Testing Support: Administer vision screenings and knowledge tests to evaluate applicants understanding of driving laws
• Data Entry: Input test results and application details into on-line licensing software systems
• Service Guidance: Explain licensing requirements, REAL ID rules, CDL processes, and related driver services
• Document Handling: Process forms, produce restoration letters, and apply correct fee waiver codes when required
• Safety Awareness: Assess surroundings, follow safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions to supervisors

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel when needed
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
