The Driver Lead will help maximize throughput, verify routes, and maintain safety standards while coordinating with site managers and the transportation team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of truck driving; team leadership preferred.
• Ability to inspect vehicles and ensure proper paperwork.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Check drivers in and out, including truck assignment and ensuring drivers have correct paperwork.
• Run collection routes and assist with routing as needed.
• Train drivers and audit routes.
• Investigate theft and conduct internal/external investigations.
• Verify routes are run as planned and bins are emptied.
• Replace locks, barcodes and other bin maintenance items.
• Attend to dumping and trash issues as needed.
• Assist the manager with routing and reroute collections.
