Job summary

PLANET AID INC. seeks a Driver Lead in Maryland to assist the Transportation Manager in routing, collection and bin placements. The role requires leadership of drivers, vehicle inspections, and ensuring timely execution of routes to maximize collected pounds.

The position involves trainer duties, auditing drivers and routes, and supporting investigations as needed. A high school diploma and 3–5 years of truck driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3–5 years of truck driving experience.
• Team leadership experience preferred or a proven track record in leading drivers.
• Ability to perform essential duties including routing, audits, and route verification.

Responsibilities

• Check drivers in and out and manage truck assignment and paperwork.
• Run collection routes and cover for unassigned routes as needed.
• Train Drivers and audit routes and driver performance.
• Verify route plans, bin empties, and bin maintenance in the field.
• Assist the manager with routing and reroute collections as needed.
• Monitor truck tracking applications and keep the collection database updated.
