Qualifications

• DMV/MVR history must be clean.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class.
• DOT medical card (interstate) must be current or obtainable.
• Willingness to follow routes, schedules and safety procedures.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail in daily tasks and records.
• Ability to operate forklift or pallet jack for moving pallets.
• Pass background checks including criminal history and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, deliver and unload items to clients or businesses safely and on time.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

The driver will pick upand drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. A reliable driver needs to transport items in a safe, timely manner, in conjunction with the customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loading, transporting, deliveringand unloading items to clients or businesses in a safe,timelymanner
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
• Assistingwith loading and unloading items from vehicles
• Collectingpayments for delivered itemsas needed
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries
• Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Any other related duties as assigned by the management

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• A good history of DMV/MVR record
• Possess a valid driver’s license appropriate for the class of vehicle
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-exempt interstate DOT medical card required
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Able to use forklift or palletjack to move the pallets and/or products
• Successfully pass background checks including criminal history and drug screening

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Successfully pass DOT physical exam
• Successfully passing the Human Performance Evaluation on Lift, Lift-Carry, Push-Pull, Climb, and Repetitive Posture.
• The employee must be able to see and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionand the ability to adjust focus
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
• Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs
• Repetitive hand use is required, including pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs, reaching above shoulder
• Frequent bending and squatting are required
• The employee must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING

• High school or GED equivalent.
• Proven box truck or at least 24 ft- long truck driving experience.
