Primary Functions

The driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. A reliable driver must transport items safely and timely, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Loading, transporting, delivering, and unloading items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Collecting payments for delivered items as needed.
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
• Preparing reports and other documents related to deliveries.
• Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Any other related duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Successfully pass physical exam.
• Successfully pass Human Performance Evaluation on Lift, Lift‑Carry, Push‑Pull, Climb, and Repetitive Posture.
• Vision: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
• Frequently move, stand, walk, and sit.
• Use hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms; able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Repetitive hand use is required, including pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs, reaching above shoulder.
• Frequent bending and squatting required.
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
• Must drive at any time of day, including daylight and nighttime hours.

Education and Training

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven box truck or at least 24‑ft long truck driving experience.

Work Conditions

Office and warehouse environment. Occasional periods of standing or sitting for extended periods. Required to wear appropriate PPE. Exposure to hot/cold weather and loud noises in a warehouse environment. Frequent computer and telephone use. Frequent communication with people throughout the day.

Delivery in inclement weather conditions.
