Job summary

R&B Wholesale Distributors, LLC is hiring a Driver/Appliance Installer in Hayward, CA. The role combines delivering appliances with on-site installation and basic servicing, while delivering excellent customer service in every interaction.

You will safely operate a delivery vehicle, load/unload appliances, connect units per manufacturer specs, test functionality, and guide customers on use and care. This is a hands-on, safety-focused position with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and move heavy appliances (often 50–100+ lbs).
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous delivery or installation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company delivery vehicle in compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation laws.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ovens.
• Install and connect appliances according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Perform basic testing to ensure proper functionality after installation.
• Provide customers with instructions on appliance use and care.
• Remove and properly dispose of or relocate old appliances as needed.
• Maintain delivery logs, installation records, and required documentation.
• Inspect equipment and report any vehicle or product issues promptly.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
• Deliver professional, courteous customer service at all times.
