Job summary

BWAAM is seeking an Appliance Delivery Driver to join our field team in New York. The role involves delivering and installing appliances at homes and businesses, often as part of a two-person crew, with focus on safety and damage-free handling.

You will load, transport, and set up appliances, connect gas, electrical, and water lines, and provide white-glove customer service while meeting delivery schedules. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Authorized to drive delivery trucks.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift heavy objects with dolly/straps.
• Able to work Saturdays.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive delivery trucks to residential and commercial properties.
• Load, protect, and deliver appliances.
• Set up and install products including gas, electrical, and water connections.
• Work independently or in a team to meet delivery schedules.
• Maintain professional customer interactions and relay concerns to management.
• Assist with store tasks such as unloading trucks and stocking.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provide white-glove delivery service.

Appliance Delivery Driver Appliance Delivery & Installation Specialist – Full/Part time

Our delivery and install teams are the last touches and a critical part of making customers for a lifetime. You would be responsible for the delivery of appliances to customer homes and businesses. In most cases, a two person team will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods by using team lifting and/or material handling equipment. Attention to detail is required so that no damage occurs to either the merchandise or the customer's property.

Candidate must have a valid State Issued Drivers License.

Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Licensed and able to drive delivery truck to deliver appliances to residential and commercial properties
• Box truck experience required
• Properly loads and protects all product for delivery
• Set-up and install products including hooking up gas, electrical, and water line connections
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ensures customer satisfaction by maintaining delivery schedule and a professional attitude
• Calls customer prior to delivery and maintains customer service standards during interaction at delivery
• Addresses and relays any customer concerns to store management immediately
• Interacts with sales teams for special instructions for each delivery
• Assists with store tasks including unloading trucks, loading customer vehicles, & moving product on the sales floor
• Assists with cleaning and other housekeeping duties at the store
• Performs misc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects using appliance dolly and straps
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of basic hand tools
• Good interpersonal skills, both with customers and team members
• Must be able to work Saturdays
• Must have a Valid Drivers’ License
• Motor Vehicle Record review in good standing – For Drivers
• Ability to deliver “white glove service” to customers, excellent customer service skills are a must!
