Responsibilities

• Assist Installers with delivery, setup, and installation of appliances.

• Protect customer property with coverings and safe handling practices.
• Maintain a clean delivery vehicle and perform basic inspections.
• Complete required paperwork and electronic documentation.
• Provide professional customer service at all times.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Attend safety meetings and training sessions.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately.

Position Summary

R&B Wholesale Distributors, LLC is seeking a dependable and hardworking Delivery Helper / Appliance Installation Assistant to join our team. The Delivery Helper will assist Appliance Installers with the delivery, installation, and removal of household appliances while providing excellent customer service.

This position requires individuals who are safety-conscious, physically capable of handling heavy appliances, and committed to maintaining a professional appearance and attitude while representing the company at customer locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Appliance Installers with the delivery, setup, and installation of appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, and other household appliances.


• Load, unload, move, and position appliances safely and efficiently.


• Assist with connecting water lines, electrical cords, and venting systems under the direction of the lead installer.


• Remove and haul away old appliances and packaging materials as required.


• Protect customer property by using floor covering, corner protection, and safe handling practices.


• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.


• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections with the lead installer.


• Accurately complete required paperwork and electronic documentation.


• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.


• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.


• Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.


• Report accidents, injuries, property damage, and unsafe conditions immediately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.


• Prior delivery, warehouse, moving, construction, or appliance installation experience is preferred but not required.


• Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools.


• Strong communication and customer service skills.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.


• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.


• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly with assistance.


• Ability to move large appliances using dollies, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.


• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, kneel, squat, and reach frequently throughout the workday.


• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.


• Ability to safely enter and exit delivery vehicles throughout the day.

Preferred Qualifications

• Appliance delivery or installation experience.


• Experience operating material handling equipment.


• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.


• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn appliance installation skills.
