Job summary

Sunbelt Supply, a FloWorks International LLC subsidiary, is seeking a Delivery Driver in Lakeland, FL. The role involves moving inbound and outbound shipments to customer sites, loading and unloading, and maintaining accurate records.

You will work in a warehouse-traffic environment with safety procedures and possibly occasional international shipments. The position requires a HS diploma or GED, a Class A CDL, and MSHA training within 30 days.

Job Information

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments. Responsible for all distribution functions. This typically includes shipments to both domestic and possibly international customers, and to distribution centers and locations within the same organization. Make deliveries to customer job sites while adhering to all safety procedures. Load inventory on truck and unload at customer site.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs routine inspection of vehicles and supplies to ensure road safety
• Plans route to and from customers' businesses and adjusts for traffic and/or construction
• Ensure that manifests are complete and accurate
• Delivers merchandise to customers and contact customer if they are not present
• Loads truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unload merchandise for customers
• Pulls orders to match manifest
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Provides assistance to resolve customer issues. Complete tasks such as loading unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods
• Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles. Stack or pilematerials, such as lumber, boards, or pallets
• Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
• Verify computations against physical count of stock
• Receive and fill orders or sell supplies, materials, and products to installers and subcontractors
• Participate in the on-call rotation for customer delivery callouts as needed
• Perform all other warehouse shipping and receiving functions as needed

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility
• Class A CDL State issued license
• Complete MSHA training certification within 30 days of employment

This role operates in a warehouse environment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required. Typically, in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
