Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Assist delivery driver unloading, checking the quality and delivering the product to the customer location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Unload and check the quality products at a customer location, rotate and check the quality of produce.
2. Drive to different locations to assist the driver with deliveries.
3. Call in when a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts).
4. Handle any customer complaints professionally.
5. Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, and perform a pre-trip inspection.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

1. Prefer High School or GED or equivalent.

Experience:

1. Handcart and electric pallet jack experience.

Professional Skills:

1. Proven ability to communicate articulately and perform simple arithmetic.
2. Knowledge of the product delivery schedule.
3. Ability to assess if the product meets quality and rotation standards.

Physical Demands:

1. Frequent moving of product up to 50 pounds during the shift; infrequent moving up to 80 pounds.
2. Must be able to climb on and off the box of the truck.
3. Frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.

Work Environment:

1. Cold warehouse environment.
2. Must be able to work in confined spaces.
3. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot weather, rain, and extremely cold temperatures).
