Job Summary

To serve our customers by safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse by driving a tractor trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading products according to customer invoices and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Complete all paperwork accurately, including DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports, and invoices.
• Ensure all food safety protocols are met and maintain sanitary conditions in the tractor and trailer.
• Develop good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor trailer driving school can substitute or complement this requirement.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License; must be insurable to operate a vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting and delivery practices.
• Skills in long-distance driving, customer communication, problem-solving, and product delivery.
• Ability to operate various vehicles and equipment, read/write English, perform basic math, and organize work independently.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Includes lifting up to 50 pounds, working in various weather conditions, and exposure to noise, fumes, and mechanical parts. Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
