Job summary

Schillings is seeking a Driver Helper at our Saint John, IN location. This full-time role offers competitive pay, a full benefits package, and opportunities for advancement. No nights or Sundays.

You will inspect vehicles and equipment daily, help load and unload, organize loads, communicate with the Logistics Manager, and follow all safety procedures. Must have a valid driver's license, be able to lift heavy weights, and work outside in all weather.

Qualifications

• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Lift/carry/move up to 50 lbs; may lift up to 80 lbs.
• Sit/stand/bend/reach/grip/push/pull during yard tasks.
• Operate equipment: forklift, skid steer, order picker, etc.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Communicate with customers/management via radios or in person.
• Read a tape measure and do basic math.
• Composite/steel toe shoes required (boot reimbursement).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections; report maintenance.
• Keep equipment clean and orderly.
• Load trucks according to sales orders.
• Secure loads and help unload materials for customers.
• Communicate with Logistics Manager to complete tasks.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
